Overview
Rhovan is offering 18.2 Engineering Learnership opportunities to candidates who have completed N2 with relevant trade theory subjects.
This structured programme combines theoretical training and practical workplace experience. Upon successful completion, learners will qualify as Artisans and receive a trade certificate.
The learnership is designed to equip candidates with technical knowledge, workplace readiness skills and hands-on experience in their chosen engineering discipline.
Available Engineering Trades
Learnerships are available in the following disciplines:
- Boilermaker
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Auto Electrician
- Instrumentation
- Rigger
- Diesel Mechanic
Applicants must ensure their N2 subjects align with the chosen trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter into a formal learnership agreement with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA)
- Complete theoretical and practical training modules at the training centre
- Successfully complete all phases of the learnership within the specified timeframe
- Complete structured On-the-Job training modules
- Participate in workplace readiness and technical panel evaluations
- Attend Basic and Advanced Engineering Skills courses
- Assist with basic Artisan tasks during practical exposure
Minimum Requirements
- Full N2 with relevant Trade Theory subjects
- Medically fit
- Proficient in English
- Willing to undergo psychometric assessments
