ABM Facility Services UK are looking for Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a contract basis for a high-profile client in the Wynyard area.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment providing janitorial and waste removal services.
Main duties include:
- Providing a high janitorial service internally and externally in various areas
- Handling waste generated on site via approved waste streams
- Using walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment
- Responding to spillages and callouts from the client’s on-site team
- Communicating effectively with the team and line manager
- Wearing protective clothing and complying with Health & Safety legislation
Requirements:
- Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Physically fit
