As a Production Assistant (Body in White), you will play a crucial role in manufacturing and assembling the body in white, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Job Summary:
The Production Assistant (Body in White) will perform various tasks as directed by their Superior, maintain compliance with ISO 9000/ISO 14000 and BS8800 standards, and prioritize Health & Safety protocols. Responsibilities also include operating equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, reporting incidents, and actively participating in improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform tasks as assigned by the Superior.
– Adhere to ISO 9000/ISO 14000, BS8800 standards, and company policies.
– Conduct self-inspections and maintain Health & Safety standards.
– Operate fixtures, jigs, and load parts according to instructions.
– Ensure correct tool usage and maintain good housekeeping.
– Communicate effectively with the Team Leader regarding issues.
– Achieve and maintain product quality, productivity, and volume targets.
– Identify and report safety hazards and wear required PPE.
– Adhere to legal requirements and chemical handling instructions.
– Operate equipment safely and manage waste separation.
Job Requirements:
– Education: Grade 12.
– Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Body shop line techniques.
– Language: Proficient in English and Afrikaans (reading, writing, understanding).
– Work Content: As per assigned tasks and instructions.
– Guidelines: ISO 9000/ISO 14000/BS8800, company policies, quality targets, Team Leader instructions.
– Subordinates: No direct subordinates.
– Supervision: Performance measured against targets and product audits.
