About the Organization:
Eskom, the largest energy producer in South Africa, is excited to introduce an artisan learnership programme. The goal of this programme is to develop talented people who want to work as skilled craftspeople in the energy industry.
Job Description:
For motivated candidates, the Artisan Learnership offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get in-depth instruction and obtain real-world experience at one of Eskom’s power facilities dispersed throughout the country. Learners will get priceless information and abilities required to become skilled artisans in disciplines like electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
-Acquire fundamental knowledge and hands-on expertise in the selected artisan field.
-Participate actively in everyday activities and projects while working together under the direction of seasoned artisans.
-Acquire practical knowledge of upkeep and repair of tools related to the chosen artisan craft.
-Strictly follow regulations and safety procedures to maintain a secure workplace.
-Take part in training sessions and workshops to hone technical skills.
-Effectively work with teams to improve power plant operations.
Requirements:
Grade 12 with a maths grade of 50%, a physical science grade of 50%, and an English grade of 40%. N3 with a maths grade of 50%, a science grade of 50%, and an English grade of 40%.

Candidates are requested to submit their applications via Eskom’s recruitment website if they match the requirements. The deadline for applications is October 19, 2023. Late contributions won’t be taken into account.
Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited for additional testing and interviews.
