A company is looking for a Principal Commercial Title Examiner to provide underwriting support and expertise related to complex commercial title insurance commitments and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Examine chain of title for commercial/industrial properties and perform title examinations of complex title orders
Abstract and analyze records to determine ownership and legal restrictions, ensuring completeness for examinations
Consult and advise staff and customers on title insurability issues while developing business partnerships with clientele
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience may be substituted
8+ years of directly related experience in title examination
Extensive knowledge of real estate laws and the title insurance industry
Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions related to title orders
Strong leadership and customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
