Job Title: Government Cleaner
Location: Various Government Departments across the 9 Provinces, South Africa
Job Description:
At this time, we are looking for individuals who are committed to their work and can be relied upon to join our team as Government Cleaners. In your role as a Government Cleaner, you will be accountable for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in a variety of government departments located in each of South Africa’s nine provinces. Because of your role, the environment that government workers and visitors work in will continue to be clean and safe thanks to your contributions.
Responsibilities:
-You will be responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
-Clean and sanitise all of the areas that have been assigned to you, including the restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
-Clean out the trash cans and dispose of the waste along with any other garbage.
-Wipe down all mirrors, glass surfaces, and window panes.
-Common areas such as hallways, stairwells, and lobbies are to be kept in a clean state at all times.
-Adhere to the cleaning procedures and protocols that have been established.
-Ensure that you comply with all of the health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
-Must have completed at least Grade 10 in school (or equivalent).
-While not required, prior janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred.
-The capacity to function both independently and collaboratively.
-Excellent detail-orientedness and thoroughness in task completion.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
-Excellent physical stamina and the capacity for manual labour.
-Knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools is advantageous.
-Ability to work a variety of hours, including weekends and federal holidays, as needed.
