Job Description:
The Government is recruiting Claims Credit Officers across various provinces to strengthen its financial management team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to start their career in public sector finance, with a focus on managing and collecting outstanding overpayment balances.
The key responsibilities of the Claims Credit Officer include maintaining accurate records of all debtor accounts, both manually and electronically. You will monitor the payment of benefits to clients, ensuring that all activities comply with the Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and the Unemployment Insurance Contribution Act (UICA). A thorough understanding of Generally Recognized Accounting Principles (GRAP), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and other relevant financial processes is essential.
Requirements:
Education: Grade 12/Senior Certificate.
Experience: 0 – 6 months in a related field.
