A company is looking for a Multifamily PV Designer to complete solar photovoltaic system designs for multi-family residential buildings, ensuring system optimization for profitability, customer satisfaction, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design multifamily/commercial PV systems to maximize production and reduce costs, while meeting customer goals and utility requirements
Manage third-party consultants and coordinate with utility companies to facilitate new net metering tariffs
Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Installation teams to resolve issues and ensure project success from survey to maintenance
Required Qualifications and Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years residential PV design experience, including 1 year of commercial PV Design experience
Preferably NABCEP certified
Expertise in AutoCAD, National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC), and applicable fire codes
In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical design theory, interconnection methods, and commercial PV construction
