Programme Overview
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), a key government institution responsible for the administration of social assistance in South Africa, invites TVET College learners from across the country to apply for the Head Office Work Integrated Learning Programme 2026.
This programme is designed to provide structured practical workplace exposure to learners who have completed their N6 National Certificate and require experiential training in order to qualify for the awarding of their full qualification. Successful applicants will gain valuable hands-on experience within a professional government working environment while contributing to the effective delivery of public services.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have successfully completed an N6 National Certificate
- Must require 6 to 18 months of practical work experience to complete qualification requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must provide a letter from their educational institution confirming the need for Work Integrated Learning
Internship Conditions and Benefits
Successful candidates will be appointed on a fixed-term Work Integrated Learning contract for a period ranging between 6 and 18 months, depending on institutional requirements. Interns will receive an all-inclusive monthly stipend of R5 639.75 for the duration of the programme. This opportunity allows participants to gain relevant work exposure within a structured and supportive government environment.
