Overview

The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for executing point of sale activities, promoting customer loyalty through the Clicks ClubCard programme, and maintaining merchandising and housekeeping standards. The role supports Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all POS activities accurately and efficiently
• Scan merchandise and process payments correctly
• Safely handle cash at all times
• Promote and enroll customers in the Clicks ClubCard programme
• Inform customers about promotions to drive sales
• Deliver superior customer service as a brand ambassador
• Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards
• Keep updated on products, promotions and store events
• Support stock management and store operations

Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• Mathematics 50% and English 50% (Desirable)

Experience:

• Customer-facing experience in retail/FMCG environment (Desirable)
