A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter specializing in Individual Disability Insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain effective relationships with field personnel, producers, and Home Office personnel through professional negotiation and problem resolution
Analyze complex medical and financial information to assess risk against policy plan details
Mentor and provide training to team members as needed
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience as an Individual Disability Underwriter
Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred
Extensive medical and financial knowledge for risk assessment
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to identify training gaps and provide necessary guidance
