A company is looking for an Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine information to underwrite proposals and renewals, develop rates, and accept or reject risk
Utilize expertise in underwriting to suggest solutions, develop final rates, and present materials to customers
Enforce underwriting guidelines, develop reporting documents, and provide leadership and mentoring to underwriters
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of health insurance underwriting experience
Advanced Excel skills
Mastery of alternate funding arrangements, underwriting policies, and mathematical principles
Advanced knowledge of healthcare benefits and programs
