A company is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer based in Palo Alto, with a hybrid work from office requirement 2 days per week. The role involves driving data-driven decisions, owning automated reporting systems, and developing solutions to complex business problems with imperfect data. The salary range for this full-time position is $272,700 – $345,400+ equity + benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Interface with Finance, Engineering and Analytics to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data products, including building data functional expertise and owning data quality for allocated areas of ownership
Champion data quality and governance throughout the company by maintaining and extending a clean data ecosystem, including working with analytical engineering and data engineer teams to create curated datasets
Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support financial needs, including automating reporting for Finance using various business intelligence tools and platforms
Required Qualifications and Education
Bachelor/ Master degree in Engineering / Analytics related fields
6+ years of relevant work experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science or relevant field
6+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance, and 5+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
5+ years experience in writing complex SQL queries and Python, and working with Snowflake / Databricks or similar distributed compute systems
5+ years of experience working with relational databases (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and big data structures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
